Reports indicate that WWE officials felt pleased with the fan reaction to John Cena’s heel promo on the latest episode of WWE RAW. The promotion kicked off its European tour last week with SmackDown in Barcelona, followed by RAW in Brussels, Belgium.
John Cena opened RAW to one of the loudest reactions in years. Boos erupted as he entered, sparking dueling chants of “Let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks,” along with shouts of “You sold out” and “Shut the f**k up.”
Cena justified his heel turn by confronting the fans. He accused them of bullying and using him for over two decades, expecting him to act as their puppet with a smile.
He criticized them for being selfish, always focused on their own expectations without ever acknowledging his emotions. Cena then delivered a cold message to the fans: “Not one of you sons of b**ches asked how I feel.”
As Cena berated the fans, his WrestleMania 41 opponent, Cody Rhodes, stormed out. Rhodes expressed his disappointment over not getting the opportunity to face the real John Cena at WrestleMania 41.
Cody Rhodes didn’t hold back, taking a direct shot at Cena by calling him “a whiny b**ch.” He warned that if this version of Cena appeared at WrestleMania 41, he would run through him and bring his career to an early retirement.
After the electric segment, backstage reports stated that WWE officials felt thrilled by the hostile fans’ reaction to John Cena in Brussels.

According to Fightful Select (behind a paywall), WWE was “ecstatic” about the overwhelming fan reaction to John Cena’s promo in Brussels. The report also described the Brussels crowd as one of the most electric TV atmospheres they had ever witnessed.
