Seth Rollins Admits Being Hulk Hogan Fan & Understands the Backlash

Seth Rollins recently shared his brutally honest opinion on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. The legendary wrestler has faced controversy for decades, which has led to him facing huge backlash.

As one of WWE’s top stars, Rollins has often admitted that he grew up watching Hogan and considered himself a fan. However, despite his admiration for Hogan’s in-ring career, Rollins disagrees with his past actions.

Hogan’s most recent WWE appearance at the RAW Netflix premiere on 6th January in the Intuit Dome, Los Angeles, turned into a disaster. He arrived with longtime manager Jimmy Hart to promote his Real American Beer, but the crowd turned against him.

Fans at the Intuit Dome loudly booed Hogan, drowning out his attempts to acknowledge their past support. Many speculate that the hostile reaction stemmed from his political views and past racist remarks. Although Rollins once looked up to Hogan, he believes the wrestling icon’s past actions don’t reflect a good person.

Seth Rollins’ honest take on WWE hall of famer Hulk Hogan

Seth Rollins recently appeared on WFAN, discussing his match against CM Punk. During the conversation, he was asked about the significance of Madison Square Garden, referencing Hulk Hogan’s historic victory over The Iron Sheik.

He stated, “I was a Hogan fan growing up. I’ve said it a million times, the dude has been nothing but kind to me in my life and our interactions. Doesn’t make him a good person. Obviously, he’s run into some issues as of late. We’ll see if he clears those up. That’s his business though.”

Regarding Hogan being booed during WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere, Rollins admitted he wasn’t surprised. He stated, “I was not surprised. He hasn’t done a lot to harbor good will in his name over the past few years. With everything going on with him, he came out, I saw it coming. I don’t know if anybody else did, but I did.” [H/T: Fightful]

Since Hulk Hogan was booed at WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere, he hasn’t been on WWE TV. Reports say he wants to use the situation to his advantage, and WWE might bring him back as a villain in the future.
