WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio has responded to speculation about former AEW star Malakai Black joining The Judgment Day. Rumors of Black’s potential arrival began circulating weeks ago, with Mysterio adding fuel to the fire.
On the January 20 edition of WWE RAW, Chad Gable asked for a piece of advice from Dominik Mysterio regarding his issues with luchador stars Penta El Zero Miedo, Dragon Lee, and Rey Mysterio. Mysterio agreed to help and handed Gable a piece of paper with a name, though Gable didn’t reveal the name.
Seemingly satisfied, Gable declared, “I’m about to master the dark arts of Lucha Libre.” His mention of the dark arts sparked speculation that this could be a hint at Malakai Black’s WWE arrival. Although Black isn’t a luchador, he runs Dark Arts Pro Wrestling & Muay Thai alongside his wife, Zelina Vega.
Meanwhile, The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh recently suffered a brutal injury, forcing him out of action. Mysterio has urged Finn Balor to bring in a new member, but Balor has consistently rejected the idea. Malakai Black, whose name has been linked to WWE, recently left AEW. With his release confirmed, his WWE return now seems imminent.
However, despite initially fueling the speculation, Dominik Mysterio has now reacted to the idea of Black potentially joining The Judgment Day.

Dominik Mysterio responded to No-Contest Wrestling Podcast host O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s tweet, where Jackson suggested that Malakai Black, formerly known as Aleister Black, could join The Judgment Day. Jackson Jr. posted a GIF of Aleister Black, which quickly caught Mysterio’s attention. In response, Mysterio reacted with a GIF stating, “No. We’re good. Thanks.”
Reports suggest that WWE is already working on creative plans for Malakai Black’s return. It will be interesting to see if he makes a comeback and helps Chad Gable with his luchador problem. Could this also lead to a showdown between Black and Mysterio? Only time will tell.
