WWE Superstars Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have been at the center of speculation as the possible mystery attackers behind Jade Cargill’s brutal backstage assault. In November, during an episode of WWE SmackDown, an unknown assailant ambushed Cargill backstage, leaving her bloodied.
At the time, Cargill held the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Bianca Belair. With Cargill sidelined, Naomi stepped in as Belair’s new tag team partner and went on to capture the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
As Naomi claimed championship gold, speculation swirled about whether the former SmackDown Women’s Champion orchestrated the attack on Cargill. Last week on WWE SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis provided a major update on the situation.
In his office, he played surveillance footage of the backstage attack, which showed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez away from the scene. While the footage did not confirm them as the attackers, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi remained convinced that Judgment Day members were responsible.
Amid growing speculation, Liv Morgan, who is set to compete in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, broke her silence and addressed the rumors regarding her involvement in the attack.
Liv Morgan clarifies her role in Jade Cargill’s attack
During her appearance on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Liv Morgan addressed questions about Jade Cargill’s attack and her alleged involvement. Although she acknowledged being present at the scene, she denied any wrongdoing.
She stated, “I would like to say …. in the history of Liv Morgan, there has not been one time when I didn’t scream and brag about whatever I had just done. How many times did I scream, ‘I stole Rhea’s Man’? How many times did I scream, ‘I retired Becky Lynch’? I think this is a huge misunderstanding. I think that beatdown was highly, highly unwarranted. But I was there at the scene.”
While Morgan dismisses the allegations as a misunderstanding, she also interestingly admits to being present at the scene. Could this mean she’s subtly hinting that she knows the identity of the mysterious attacker?
