Toni Storm Sends Bold Message After AEW Women’s Title Victory

Toni Storm made history at AEW Grand Slam Australia, defeating Mariah May to become the first-ever four-time AEW Women’s World Champion. The event took place at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Determined to get revenge on her former best friend, Storm set her sights on Mariah May. Last year, May betrayed her and defeated her at AEW All In to capture the AEW Women’s Championship. Storm shocked fans in December when she made her return to AEW.

Many expected the return of “Timeless” Toni Storm, but instead, she reintroduced her old rockstar persona. This version of Storm ignored her AEW past and acted as if she were debuting for the first time. However, Storm had been playing the long game.

After securing a title match against Mariah May at AEW Grand Slam Australia, Toni Storm made it clear she hadn’t forgotten anything. She vowed revenge on May and brought back her “Timeless” Toni Storm persona. With her signature character back, Storm once again made history at the show. She secured the victory with a quick roll-up pinfall, reclaiming the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Now a four-time Women’s World Champion, Storm appeared on AEW Dynamite to kick off her fourth reign. She sent a strong message to the women’s roster, making it clear she was ready for any challenger.

Toni Storm puts AEW women’s division on notice after title win

On the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, the spotlight returned to Toni Storm and her newly won championship. Storm made a grand entrance, escorted by Luther, as the crowd erupted in a massive ovation. Taking the mic, Storm addressed her victory over Mariah May, calling her a “sick b*tch” and declaring that May had been put to a permanent end.

She made it clear that to be the best, she had to face the best. Storm then issued an open challenge to the women’s division. The Women’s Champion specifically mentioned Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, and Wendi Richter.

With AEW Revolution set for March 9, 2025, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, the question now is: Who will step up to challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm?
