Former WWE Women’s Champion Asuka has spoken out after her X (formerly Twitter) account was hacked. The past few weeks have been particularly difficult for the Japanese star.
A few weeks ago, Asuka shared that she did not want any romantic attention from fans. Despite this, some continued to send her advances. The WWE Superstar took to X to shut them down, calling the behavior “troubling” and “completely pointless.”
Asuka also revealed that the situation had escalated to the point where she had to involve the police due to feeling unsafe. Following this, she announced that WWE and its parent company, TKO, were taking steps to ensure her safety, which she acknowledged in a tweet. Unfortunately, she now faces another challenge—her X account has been hacked.
Asuka responds to social media hack: Official statement released
WWE Superstar Asuka addressed her fans on her KanaChanTV YouTube channel, warning them about the hack and advising them to stay cautious of potential scams. She stated:
“Hey guys, I’m filming this urgently. Since yesterday, my Twitter or X account has been hacked. If you see any posts from my account promoting products, services, or sharing suspicious links, there is a high chance it’s a scam. Please be careful. Sorry for the trouble.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
In addition to her YouTube statement, the former WWE Women’s Champion also warned fans on Instagram. She shared a picture of herself along with the message: “My X (Twitter) account has been hacked. Please be careful of fraud.”
Asuka has faced a tough few weeks, from dealing with unwanted advances to now a cyberattack on her social media. Hopefully, the issue is resolved soon to protect fans from scams.
Meanwhile, in the world of professional wrestling, Asuka has remained absent from in-ring action since May 2024 due to a knee injury. With WrestleMania 41 approaching, it will be interesting to see if “The Empress of Tomorrow” makes her return to the grand stage.
