A recent report revealed that WWE had major plans for former Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Since the 2024 draft, the duo has dominated SmackDown.
They formed their team in August 2023 after Sonya Deville’s injury, which led Piper Niven to step in as Chelsea Green’s new partner. Together, they held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2023.
Since moving to WWE SmackDown, Green and Niven have stayed in the spotlight. Green challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship, while Niven competed for the WWE Women’s Championship. Despite receiving major opportunities, neither has secured a major singles victory.
In December and at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Green created history by winning the inaugural Women’s United States Championship after defeating Michin in the finals. With Niven’s help, Green has defended her title against Michin multiple times, successfully in the past few weeks.
Although Green and Niven have been wreaking havoc on SmackDown, reports revealed that WWE originally planned to add another superstar to their team. That superstar was Blair Davenport, who was released this past weekend.

This past weekend, WWE released several wrestlers from the promotion. The list includes The Good Brothers, Sonya Deville, AOP, Paul Ellering, Isla Dawn, Cedric Alexander, Giovanni Vinci, and Blair Davenport.
According to a report by Fightful Select Behind a Paywall, WWE had plans for Blair Davenport before her release. She was recently brought to TV tapings and was pitched the idea of joining Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Davenport was even spotted speaking to Piper Niven, hinting at her possible addition to her faction a few weeks ago.
WWE had prepared a secret service-style outfit for Davenport as part of the faction’s presentation. However, the plan was delayed and ultimately never came to fruition before her release this past weekend. It remains to be seen what’s next for Davenport in her career.
