WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently shared his thoughts on how WWE can increase the value of the World Heavyweight Championship. At WWE WrestleMania 38, Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE Championship and Universal Championship.
This move resulted in only one men’s championship in the main event division, with Reigns holding both titles, creating the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, Reigns’ part-time schedule led to fewer appearances, which impacted the main event scene. In response, WWE introduced the World Heavyweight Championship in 2023, giving another title for superstars to go after.
Seth Rollins became the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion and remains the only Superstar Roman Reigns never defeated during his 1,316-day title reign. Since the introduction of the title, Superstars like Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, and Gunther have had their shot at the spotlight in the main event, with Gunther currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship.
Last year, while Roman Reigns held the Undisputed WWE Championship, he famously called the World Heavyweight Championship the “loser bracelet title” on SmackDown while criticizing Seth Rollins. Now, despite no longer holding a championship, Reigns has shared his thoughts on how WWE can elevate the World Heavyweight Championship.

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Roman Reigns appeared alongside Paul Heyman. Reigns was asked if there is any chance of fans seeing him go after the World Heavyweight Championship one day, to which he replied, “If we’re trying to lift the value, you know where it’s supposed to go. So, yeah.”
Reigns suggested that the only way to elevate the World Heavyweight Championship is for him to hold the title. Only time will tell if Reigns will ever pursue the one WWE title he has yet to win.
