Former RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss made a highly anticipated return at WWE Royal Rumble 2025 after a two-year absence. Entering the Women’s Royal Rumble match at No. 21, Bliss received one of the biggest ovations of the night.
Originally, Bliss was scheduled to return on the January 13th episode of WWE RAW in San Jose. However, when she didn’t appear, reports suggested that a contract dispute with WWE delayed her comeback.
Ahead of the Royal Rumble 2025, Bliss fueled speculation about her return with a cryptic post featuring her daughter. Following her return, reports revealed that other wrestlers had no idea she would be in the match, as she did not attend Friday’s rehearsals.
Bliss’s return forced WWE to make a significant change to the match. Initially, WWE planned for Shotzi to take Bliss’s spot in the Royal Rumble, but the company made a last-minute decision to insert Bliss instead.
Now, following her surprise return, reports have confirmed the length of her new contract with WWE.
Report: Alexa Bliss signs new five-year deal with WWE
According to Fightful Select (via a paywalled report), WWE has secured a new five-year contract with Alexa Bliss. The deal was finalized with the support of her representatives Mojo Rawley and Steve Kaye from Paragon Talent. To keep her return a secret, WWE flew Bliss into Indianapolis on the same day as the Royal Rumble. Even the wrestlers in the match were unaware of her return until she arrived at the arena.
Mojo Rawley, a former WWE Superstar released in 2021, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that he helped Bliss negotiate her new contract. Rawley, whose real name is Dean Muhtadi, founded Paragon Talent Group, which now represents Bliss and several other talents.
Although Bliss is expected to join the WWE RAW brand, she did not appear on the latest episode in Cleveland, Ohio. Fans are now eagerly anticipating when she will make her first appearance on the red brand.
