At WWE Royal Rumble 2025, Jacob Fatu, who has been making a name for himself in his singles career, had a standout moment on the show. Following Solo Sikoa’s loss to Roman Reigns on the premiere night of WWE RAW on Netflix, Fatu appears to be stepping into the spotlight as a singles competitor, putting everyone on notice in recent weeks.
From attacking Braun Strowman at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event to his impressive Royal Rumble performance, Fatu is quickly establishing himself as one of the most dominant superstars on the roster. He entered the Royal Rumble at spot No. 12, lasted 24 minutes and 16 seconds, and eliminated Rey Mysterio, Chad Gable, Jimmy Uso, and Andrade.
After dominating Braun Strowman at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Fatu faced off with Strowman again at the Royal Rumble. However, this time, Strowman eliminated him from the match. Despite the setback, Fatu broke character backstage after his dominant performance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
He was seen having an emotional moment backstage after watching his cousin Jey Uso win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Jacob Fatu seen congratulating Jey Uso following WWE Royal Rumble win
Jey Uso earned a World Title opportunity at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas by eliminating John Cena to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Although Jacob Fatu had opposed Jey in The Bloodline storyline, he unexpectedly broke character to congratulate his cousin.
Jey Uso’s twin brother, Jimmy Uso, shared a backstage video on Instagram, capturing Jey celebrating with his son. In an emotional moment, Jacob Fatu, wearing Jey’s “Yeet” T-shirt, embraced him and placed the Ula Fala around his neck.
While it was a heartwarming moment between the cousins, Jey Uso—who has now secured his spot at WrestleMania 41—has made it clear that he will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
