Omos’ Return: What Does WWE Have in Store for the Big Man?

Recent reports reveal Omos‘ status for WWE Royal Rumble 2025, happening this weekend on February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Omos last appeared in WWE in April 2024, competing in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown, which Bronson Reed won.

Omos remained absent from WWE throughout 2024, until his recent return to the ring. On January 1 this year, Omos made his Pro-Wrestling NOAH debut at the New Year’s Day show in Tokyo. During the event, Omos was revealed as Jack Morris’ mystery tag team partner.

Their team won the GHG tag team titles by defeating Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura. Since then, he has been a prominent part of Pro-Wrestling NOAH, appearing in 8 matches and staying undefeated.

On January 25, 2025, at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Sunny Voyage 2025, Omos and Jack Morris retain their tag team titles against All Rebellion. Afterward, Omos announced that he would return to WWE. In a shocking moment, he handed his title to his Team 2000X partner, Daga, and declared Morris and Daga the new champions.

Following his successful, brief run in Pro-Wrestling NOAH, reports have emerged that the giant will be returning for the Royal Rumble. Additionally, another report has surfaced revealing plans for Omos at the WWE Royal Rumble.

Report: WWE discussed Omos for WWE Royal Rumble match spot

Reports from PWInsider state that WWE plans to bring Omos to the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis this weekend. Fightful Select has also confirmed this, revealing that WWE has internally discussed his potential spot in the Royal Rumble match.

However, while he will appear at the premium live event, it remains unclear whether he will officially compete in the Royal Rumble match. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for his return, especially after he announced his comeback to the promotion.
