WWE fans are buzzing with speculation about several Superstars making their return at Royal Rumble 2025, including Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Becky Lynch, and Alexa Bliss. Orton has stayed out of action due to a storyline involving Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, last appearing in November when Owens attacked him with a piledriver.
Becky Lynch, who recently made headlines regarding her contract, signed up again with WWE. In contrast, Alexa Bliss was originally set to return on the January 13th edition of RAW. However, reports reveal her return plans were delayed due to ongoing contract negotiations. Bliss is not expected to return at Royal Rumble 2025.
While Randy Orton and Becky Lynch are heavily speculated to return. Nevertheless, a huge update has emerged regarding former WWE Champion AJ Styles’ status for Royal Rumble 2025. Styles has not been seen on WWE programming since October.
Report: WWE hopeful AJ Styles will be cleared for Royal Rumble 2025
PWInsider reports an update on WWE star AJ Styles potentially returning at the Royal Rumble 2025. The WWE is hopeful that Styles will be medically cleared and ready to return for this Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Styles has been sidelined with a foot injury since October 2024. The reports mentioned that Styles is expected to be in Indianapolis for the show.
At 47 years old, AJ Styles was reportedly set to begin his farewell tour in WWE. However, during the October 4th edition of SmackDown, he suffered a foot injury. Unfortunately, the injury occurred in his first match after facing Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle.
This happened during his match against Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown in October. With Styles now expected to be at Royal Rumble, only time will tell if his speculated return will come to fruition.
