Gunther, the World Heavyweight Champion, faced Jey Uso at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Before their match, Gunther played mind games, labeling Jey Uso as a talented tag team wrestler and a company mascot.
Jey Uso did not back down, warning Gunther that he would take the World Heavyweight Championship from him. At the show, Uso brought his A-game, pushing the Ring General to his limit. The crowd in San Antonio, Texas, also believed Jey could win the World Heavyweight title.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jey Uso came close to winning the World Heavyweight Championship multiple times. During the match, Gunther attempted a powerbomb, but Jey Uso countered with a hurricanrana and followed it with a spear.
Jey Uso covered, but Gunther barely kicked out at two. He then hit a superkick and followed it up with another spear. He quickly climbed to the top rope and nailed an Uso Splash, making the crowd believe they were about to see a new champion.
However, Gunther got back up once again. Jey charged for a third spear, but Gunther rolled him into a Powerbomb. The Ring General then hit a second powerbomb and pinned Uso for the win. Gunther successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship against Uso. However, the Ring General issued a warning to Uso after their bout.
Gunther demands Jey Uso keep his distance following WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Gunther sent a clear warning to Jey Uso to stay away from him after his win. The Ring General also reminded Uso of their previous bouts, mocking him by highlighting his 3-0 record over him. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “3-0. Stay away now.”

They first clashed on February 19 last year on RAW, when Gunther was the Intercontinental Champion. Their second encounter happened during the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament in May.
With the Ring General holding a dominant 3-0 record over Jey Uso, It will be interesting to see when he will finally score his first win against the Ring General.
