The latest edition of WWE RAW, held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, saw CM Punk make a huge impact. Punk, who recently defeated Seth Rollins on the premiere night of WWE RAW on Netflix, generated quite a buzz among fans.
Following his victory over Rollins, CM Punk announced that he would be participating in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. This year’s Men’s Royal Rumble is one of the most stacked in recent history, with stars like John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, and Sami Zayn all announcing their participation.
However, CM Punk, who is currently one of the favorites to win the match, made major headlines on WWE RAW. Punk not only sent a message to his fellow Royal Rumble participants but also fired shots at WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, which took many by surprise.
WWE RAW: CM Punk takes a shot at Hulk Hogan
CM Punk appeared on the latest WWE RAW for an interview with Jackie Redmond. Redmond pointed out that there are only a few ways to get to the main event of WrestleMania, and the Royal Rumble is one of them. She mentioned the match includes some of the biggest stars from the roster.
Punk reminded everyone he headlined the first WWE RAW on Netflix and beat one of the Rumble favorites, Seth Rollins. Now, Punk is ready to take on 29 other superstars and throw them over the top rope. Punk said there’s no way John Cena will toss him out of the match.
He also noted that he helped Roman Reigns with family issues, but there will be no mercy in the Royal Rumble match. Punk added that he already put Drew McIntyre down and that Sami Zayn isn’t on his level.
Following this, CM Punk decided to take a massive shot at WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. He said that if Hulk Hogan entered, he’d toss him out and end “Hulkamania.” He stated, “You can put Hulk Hogan in the Royal Rumble. I’ll throw his dusty a– over the top rope and I’ll kill HulkaMania once and for all.”
Punk taking a shot at Hulk Hogan, who isn’t even in the Royal Rumble match, was surprising. This is especially notable considering Hogan appeared on the WWE RAW Netflix premiere, where he was met with boos from the fans in the arena.
