WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will return on January 25 in San Antonio, Texas. Last month, WWE revived the iconic premium live event, which had its successful return on 14th December at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
As WWE prepares for the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The latest WWE RAW featured Gunther sharing his thoughts on RAW’s Netflix premiere. He expressed admiration for the premiere spectacle last week in Los Angeles. However, He stated that he wasn’t impressed with the in-ring action, including the Tribal Combat match and Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk.
This led Jey Uso to confront Gunther after his win over Drew McIntyre last week. He declared that he had moved past both McIntyre and the Bloodline drama. He then challenged Gunther to a World title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio.
Gunther warned him about the challenge, but Jey Uso retorted that Gunther would respect him once he beat him for the title. Their match for the World Heavyweight Championship was confirmed later in the show. In addition, another massive match is scheduled — Sheamus will face Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
WWE Intercontinental title match confirmed for Saturday Night’s Main Event
WWE RAW featured a match between Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser, where Sheamus defeated Kaiser. The Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker, watched the match from the crowd. After that, the Celtic Warrior celebrated with commentator Pat McAfee before getting into a shoving contest with Breakker.
Officials quickly separated the two, and later in the show, WWE confirmed that Breakker will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus. This would be held at Saturday Night’s Main Event in San Antonio, Texas, on January 25.
It will be exciting to see how the match plays out. The two stars previously faced each other in a triple-threat match at WWE Survivor Series, where Breakker defeated both Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser.
