This week, WWE RAW started its new era on Netflix at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, making a big impact with its first episode. The show reached number one rank on Netflix in U.S., beating Squid Game Season Two.
WWE RAW showcased four exciting matches, starting with Roman Reigns defeating Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match. In another highly anticipated battle, Rhea Ripley reclaimed the Women’s World Championship by defeating Liv Morgan. The two grudge matches followed, with Jey Uso beating Drew McIntyre and CM Punk defeating Seth Rollins in the main event.
The matches provided great entertainment and athleticism to the fans. The show saw several past and present superstars make appearances throughout the show. WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan were featured. Fans also saw Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Rey Mysterio, LA Knight, Nikki Bella, and X-Pac sitting in the crowd, all receiving loud ovations.
However, backstage reports revealed that officials were impressed by the strong reception one superstar received despite sitting in the crowd. That superstar was the new WWE Women’s Champion, Tiffany Stratton.
WWE officials were impressed by Tiffany Stratton’s strong crowd response
PWInsider reports that many people within WWE were impressed by the strong reaction Tiffany Stratton received. Stratton was shown sitting in the crowd during the premiere night of WWE RAW on Netflix.
Tiffany Stratton became the new WWE Women’s Champion last Friday on SmackDown after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax. Jax had initially retained the title against Naomi due to Stratton’s interference.
After Nia Jax retained her title, she was confronted by Naomi’s tag team partner, Bianca Belair, which led to a brawl. During the chaos, Belair took down Jax with her signature move. This gave Stratton the chance to throw Belair onto the announcer’s table. She then cashed in her briefcase and hit the prettiest moonsault ever on Jax to claim the title.
