Here’s Why Penta Missed WWE RAW Netflix Premiere Debut

Fans heavily speculated that former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo would debut on the Netflix Premiere of WWE RAW. The promotion had aired teaser vignettes for Penta El Zero Miedo over the past few weeks.

Reports suggested that sources thought the vignettes were meant for former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion became a free agent after his contract expired a few weeks ago. Tony Khan’s promotion also removed him from their roster page. After this, WWE reportedly expressed interest in signing him.

Upon becoming a free agent, the promotion began teasing his arrival. In fact, many speculated that his highly anticipated debut would take place on the WWE RAW Netflix Premiere. The premiere episode on Netflix saw a number of surprises, including the return of The Rock, The Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan’s appearance.

However, former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo’s debut did not materialize on the WWE RAW Netflix premiere. Recent reports have shed light on why fans did not get to see former AEW star Penta El Zero Miedo make an appearance in the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Former AEW star Penta’s WWE RAW debut was pulled last minute

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Penta was initially set to debut on the show, but several planned elements led to his debut being pulled at the last minute. He said, “He was supposed to debut on the show originally tonight. There’s a lot of stuff that I heard, some of which has been reported, that was supposed to be on the show that ended up not being on the show.”

Although the former AEW star did not debut, fans will get to see him on WWE RAW next week. On the latest edition of WWE RAW, Chad Gable requested a match against the top luchador in the world. While Pearce did not reveal the opponent’s name, the clues seem to point toward Penta.

During the show, another cryptic video teased that he would be using the name Penta. After the show, Triple H seemingly addressed how fans had already figured out who Gable’s opponent would be during the post-show press conference.
