WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes recently revealed when he will know he would be ready to retire from professional wrestling. After leaving WWE in 2016, Rhodes built a successful career on the independent circuit, which led to a meeting with Tony Khan and The Elite, ultimately helping to create All Elite Wrestling.

In 2019, Cody Rhodes made waves at AEW’s inaugural Double or Nothing show. Despite serving as EVP of the promotion, his mixed run in AEW became a hot topic among fans. In a shocking turn of events, he decided to leave AEW and made his return to WWE in 2022.

Since his return, he has had major feuds with top Superstars like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Brock Lesnar, positioning him as WWE’s potential face. These significant storylines culminated in his victory over Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE title at WrestleMania 40. Since coming back to WWE, Rhodes has become the face of the WWE. Cody Rhodes recently appeared on the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast, where he discussed his retirement plans. He mentioned that he doesn’t want to wrestle full-time beyond the age of 45. He expressed his desire to continue telling stories, but in a different way by working on shows and movies.

Rhodes also talked how about winning the championship felt like being the quarterback of the team, he acknowledged that he could see himself stepping away from wrestling. He could envision transitioning to other ventures while still contributing to the wrestling world. He stated, “I’d love to do it at this level, up until probably 45.”

Cody Rhodes, who is 39 years old, has achieved a lot in his career. While he didn’t give shared a specific age for his retirement, he plans to shift to a part-time role when he turns 45.
