The latest edition of WWE RAW saw fans notice a massive hint about The Rock’s return. The show began with CM Punk addressing his issues with Seth Rollins.
CM Punk took several shots at Seth Rollins. The former told him he was willing to give wrestling lessons that Rollins had wanted for free. Rollins eventually interrupted his promo as he entered from the crowd.
However, CM Punk further said that Rollins merely belongs to the masses, along with the rest of the former’s fans. To this, Rollins responded that it does not embarrass him to be out there with the people. Rollins is a WWE fan and always will be. He also pointed out that after Punk’s exit, he held the promotion back and made it stronger.
After Rollins threw a jab at Punk for not appearing in the main event in WrestleMania, he and Rollins brawled at ringside. Despite officials attempting to break them up, they continued fighting throughout the arena.
Following the chaos, general manager Adam Pearce announced that CM Punk and Seth Rollins would face off on the January 6th edition of RAW on Netflix. Pearce confirmed the match in a backstage segment. However, during the announcement, fans spotted a clue hinting at the potential return of The Rock.
The Rock’s image on WWE production truck fuels return speculation
Adam Pearce confirmed the match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk during a backstage segment with Cathy Kelly. However, an interesting moment occurred when Pearce said, “One of the biggest nights in WWE history just got bigger.” At that exact moment, the camera angle was perfectly aligned, as The Rock’s graphic appeared on the production truck behind Pearce.
Following this tease, fans began speculating that WWE was hinting at The Rock’s return, similar to the teases made earlier this year regarding John Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin for WrestleMania 40. Recent reports suggest that WWE indeed has plans for The Rock to make an appearance on the WWE RAW debut edition on Netflix.
