After defeating Kevin Owens at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes became the target of a post-match attack by Owens. Frustrated by his loss, Owens delivered a brutal piledriver to Rhodes, prompting backstage officials to step in.
Following the attack, WWE issued a statement revealing that Rhodes had suffered cervical swelling. He was diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine and a cervical strain with spasms. It was mentioned that he has not suffered any fractures. Kofi Kingston of The New Day reacted to the news, calling it karma. He also shared a clip from last week’s RAW, where Rhodes had called them out.
Kingston’s reaction was not surprising, as he had been upset by the fans’ response earlier in the week. He believed that if fans heard them out, they would change their minds. Kevin Owens responded in support of Kingston and Xavier Woods.
