On the latest edition of RAW, Dominik Mysterio clashed with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a brutal match. The tension between the two started when Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio confronted Gunther backstage.
At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, Balor interfered and attacked Damian Priest during his match against Gunther. The Ring General, who wanted to defeat Priest on his own, decided to retaliate by attacking Balor after he interfered.
Later, on RAW, Finn Balor interrupted Gunther, accompanied by Dominik Mysterio. Balor demanded a title match, claiming that Gunther owed him one after his help in beating Priest twice. However, Gunther rejected the idea, stating he never asked for Balor’s help.
He explained that he needed to defeat Priest by himself, a victory that Balor took away from him. Dominik Mysterio mocked him by raising two fingers in confidence. Gunther smacked his hand away, questioning his certainty.
Gunther stated that Dominik Mysterio felt confident because he had defeated Priest, unlike Balor. As, in October, Mysterio defeated Priest in a single match on an episode of WWE RAW. After this, he challenged him to a match.
Later in the show, the two stars battled in a brutal match where Mysterio gained the upper hand several times. However, despite his strong performance, Mysterio lost to Gunther. After the match, Gunther praised Dominik for putting up a fight, posting video highlights of their intense encounter.
Dominik Mysterio has strong words for Gunther following WWE RAW
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther praised Dominik Mysterio for showing up to fight. While the World Champion had kind words for Mysterio, the latter reacted differently to the Ring General’s praise. Mysterio responded to his tweet by sharing a GIF from House of Cards, featuring actor Kevin Spacey, with the caption ‘Go f*** yourself.’
After the loss, Finn Balor attacked the Ring General. Balor and Mysterio had tension between them, especially after Mysterio defeated Damian Priest, something Balor still hadn’t achieved.
During the attack on World Champion, Balor looked at Mysterio and taunted him, saying, “Watch and learn, kid.” Following the attack on the Ring General, it was announced that he would face Finn Balor on the December 14th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
