WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez reunited a few months ago after being apart for a long time. In 2023, the duo held the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles twice, but their reigns were filled with challenges.
Their first title reign ended abruptly in May 2023 when Liv Morgan suffered an injury, forcing them to vacate the titles after holding them for 39 days. The second reign came at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 when Liv Morgan returned and teamed up with Raquel Rodriguez.
They defeated Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, reclaiming the tag team titles. However, their second reign lasted only 16 days. Rodriguez sustained a knee injury that forced them to relinquish the championships again.
Afterward, both wrestlers pursued separate paths. Liv Morgan returned from her injury earlier this year, while Raquel Rodriguez made her comeback last year in September after dealing with an injury. Unfortunately, Rodriguez faced another setback earlier this year, spending seven months out of action due to complications from mast cell activation syndrome.
In October 2024, Rodriguez made a dramatic return to assist Liv Morgan in retaining her Women’s World Title against Rhea Ripley at WWE Bad Blood. Reflecting on her recovery journey, Rodriguez shared a heartfelt story about Liv Morgan’s unwavering support during her time away from the ring.
Raquel Rodriguez reflects on Liv Morgan reaching out during recovery
WWE Superstar Raquel Rodriguez recently appeared on Sports Illustrated and shared how her friend Liv Morgan consistently reached out to her during her recovery. Rodriguez stated, “Liv never stopped reaching out. No matter how busy she was. She was at home dealing with her own shoulder injury. She always reached out to me.”
Since returning to action, Rodriguez has teamed up with Morgan once again. Morgan has also talked about how Rodriguez is her most trusted partner. The Women’s World Champion also brought her into the new Judgment Day faction.
