Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins warned The Bloodline’s Sami Zayn following their match on RAW. The tension started when Rollins interrupted CM Punk, who was addressing his Survivor Series: WarGames victory.
Rollins, who already had a history with Punk, admitted that he should have taken Punk out the day he returned to WWE. He recalled the last time he saw Punk, he nearly took a shot at him but decided to show pity, considering Punk had just come off a brutal Hell in a Cell match against Drew McIntyre.
Rollins then revealed that after watching CM Punk and Roman Reigns together at the end of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, he realized it was time to correct his mistakes. Rollins attacked Punk, but Jey Uso and Sami Zayn quickly intervened to separate them.
Jey Uso restrained CM Punk while Zayn held Seth Rollins back. Zayn then exchanged words with Rollins. He made it clear that he did not like seeing Zayn teaming up with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. Zayn stated that he told Rollins he wanted him, but Rollins rejected him twice.
Eventually, Zayn challenged Rollins to a match, which took place later in the main event on WWE RAW. During the match’s climax, Zayn attempted to hit Rollins with a chair, and then accused him of attacking Jey Uso earlier.
Seth Rollins denied it, asking if Zayn had spoken to CM Punk about it. He throws the chair, however, Rollins capitalizes it by rolling Zayn up for the win. After the match, Rollins had some sharp words for Zayn.
Seth Rollins to Sami Zayn: ‘You’ve got to start using your head’
Ahead of Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn’s match, an unknown person attacked Jey Uso backstage. Zayn immediately suspected Rollins of being the attacker. However, during their match, Rollins made it clear to Zayn that he wasn’t responsible for the attack on Jey.
Rollins emerged victorious in the match. Afterward, he warned Zayn, expressing his admiration for Zayn’s heart but urging him to think more carefully about his decisions, particularly regarding The Bloodline.
The unknown attacker turned out to be none other than Drew McIntyre, who ambushed Sami Zayn and laid him out with a Claymore Kick following his match.
