In the past few years, John Cena has also become a major part of top film franchises like Fast and Furious and The Suicide Squad. Dave Bautista too has been part of successful franchises like Guardians of the Galaxy, Dune, and Knives Out 2.
These three WWE superstars have paved the way for wrestlers transitioning into Hollywood. Recently, Roman Reigns opened up about exploring acting and potentially making the transition into film.
Roman Reigns discusses Hollywood ambitions: ‘I want to be part of really good stories’
WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about his potential transition into Hollywood. Reigns shared his thoughts on the skills he’s developed throughout his WWE career. He stated, “I think there’s a lot of I’ve said this before, there are a lot of tools and skills that I’ve built and learned along my way in WWE that it would probably be a waste if I didn’t somewhat transition and use these skills.”
Although he admires the success of fellow WWE stars like The Rock, John Cena, and Dave Bautista. Reigns is unsure if he wants to follow their exact paths. When it comes to his film career, Reigns made it clear that he is focused on quality.
He said, “I want to make good if I’m going to make movies, I want to make really good movies. I want to be part of really good stories, I want to work with really good crew directors and production teams who know what I’m doing. I want to work with other experienced actors.”
Reigns is determined to make a successful that he wants to be part of good stories. Fans may remember that he made his Hollywood debut in 2019, appearing in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. In the film, Reigns portrayed Mateo Hobbs, the cousin of Luke Hobbs, played by The Rock.
