AEW Star Bryan Danielson Gives Health Update After Jon Moxley Match

At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Bryan Danielson faced Jon Moxley for the World Heavyweight Championship, seeking revenge after Moxley betrayed him at All Out 2024. During Danielson’s match against Jack Perry at All Out, his faction turned on him. Moxley, alongside Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Pac, launched a brutal attack while Pac restrained Wheeler Yuta, who tried to stop the attack. After the betrayal, Moxley became the number one contender for Danielson’s World Heavyweight Championship.

At WrestleDream 2024, Moxley defeated Danielson to claim the World Heavyweight Championship. Following the match, the Death Riders attacked Danielson, with Yuta joining them this time. The brutal assault ended Danielson’s full-time wrestling career. Danielson, who has been struggling with neck issues, recently provided an update on his health.

AEW star Bryan Danielson discusses neck issues and full-time wrestling career

Former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson recently appeared on the Nikki & Brie Show and updated his fans on his health status. He stated, “I was very cautious to not say ‘retirement,’ except for the match where if I lost (against Swerve), I would retire.” Danielson further explained, “After that, it was all, ‘the end of my full-time wrestling career.’ We don’t know what’s going to happen with my neck, but it honestly feels like I have a bobblehead.”

His wife, Brie Garcia, mentioned wanting to make a post for him after his full-time career ended. However, Danielson declined, stating that wrestlers are never truly retired. Moreover, he said that his “last retirement” felt “forced” since he had no plans for retirement. He then elaborated, “They wouldn’t let me wrestle again.” Danielson continued, “What I found is people are sad for a bit. Then, everybody just moves on and it doesn’t matter. The hardest part for it is probably for the person who does it.”

However, recent reports suggest that Bryan Danielson is expected to transition into a potential part-time wrestling role that would allow fans to see him next on the screens.
