Dustin Rhodes Believes Tony Khan Is Upset With AEW Star Jon Moxley Remarks

Dustin Rhodes recently claimed that AEW President Tony Khan might be upset with Jon Moxley. In late August, Moxley returned to All Elite Wrestling after a hiatus.

Moxley’s return brought a change in attitude as he teamed up with Marina Shafir, surprising fans with the unexpected pairing. However, Moxley returned with violent intentions. He revealed his true colors at AEW All Out by attacking and kicking out Bryan Danielson from the Blackpool Combat Club. Initially, all other members of the faction sided with Moxley except Wheeler Yuta.

At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to win the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, the Blackpool Combat Club entered the ring and viciously attacked Danielson. Wheeler Yuta, who had previously aided Danielson, joined in the assault. This attack forced Danielson to end his full-time wrestling career in AEW.

Now, Moxley is part of his new faction, known as the Death Riders. It consists of Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta. Amid their violent takeover, the faction has caused havoc on the roster. However, Moxley made cryptic remarks that, according to AEW star Dustin Rhodes, may have upset Tony Khan.

Dustin Rhodes explains why Tony Khan might be upset with Jon Moxley

In August, when Jon Moxley made his return to AEW, he sent a cryptic message to Tony Schiavone, stating “This is not your company anymore.” Fans were left confused by the remark. However, with Moxley’s violent entry, AEW star Dustin Rhodes believes Tony Khan could be “a little bit upset” over Moxley’s implication of owning the promotion.

In an interview with Sports Guys Talk Wrestling, Rhodes shared his thoughts on Moxley’s cryptic comments. He said, “You have to have eyes in the back of your head at all times, Mox and his group, they’re tough. They’re fighters and that’s what they do and have done for a living.”

However, Rhodes made it clear that “but this isn’t his [Moxley’s] company.” Elaborating on the AEW President’s possible reaction, he said, “I would imagine Tony is a little bit upset that he’s calling it ‘his company.’” As a rift seems to appear within the promotion, it will be intriguing to see how this storyline unfolds. Fans wonder whether it would involve the participation of AEW President Tony Kha.
