John Cena, a 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, has made a huge announcement ahead of SmackDown. Cena, who will kick off his retirement tour at the start of 2025, shared the first step in his final year in WWE.
Cena surprised fans at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 in July with a sudden appearance, where he announced his retirement from the promotion. Confirming that 2025 will be his final year in the ring, he plans to begin a year-long farewell tour. This will start with the premiere episode of RAW on Netflix in January.
The fans will have multiple opportunities to watch him compete. This includes appearances in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, and also at WrestleMania 41. Cena intends to make 30–40 appearances from January to December 2025.
Several wrestlers, such as Randy Orton, CM Punk, and others, have expressed interest in facing John Cena one last time.
