WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has picked a surprising name to dethrone Cody Rhodes for the top prize, the WWE Undisputed Championship. Rhodes, who defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, ended the latter’s historic 1316-day reign.
Since capturing WWE’s biggest prize, Cody Rhodes has been the top star in the promotion. Fan attendance and ratings have soared significantly as well. Recent reports reveal that backstage officials are pleased with Rhodes’ role as the face of WWE. The report also states that he has been compared to John Cena as a classic, “white-meat” babyface.
With WWE officials reportedly content with Rhodes’ position, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently made a surprising prediction. He named the superstar he believes will be the next to defeat Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Title.
Rikishi predicts Solo Sikoa will dethrone Cody Rhodes for WWE title
Speaking on Rikishi Fatu Off the Top, the WWE Hall of Famer expressed that Solo Sikoa’s potential, highlighted by his pin over Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel could lead to him defeating Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed title.
Rikishi said, “Like I mentioned [on] the last podcast we had, Solo’s a made man. For that to happen, there’s definitely, we see plans within this kid [of] what can be the next level for him… Well, after this [pin] on Roman, I can see maybe Solo being the one to take it off of Cody.”
The veteran further emphasised Solo Sikoa overcoming Cody Rhodes in the near future. He said, “now, it’s like okay, you beat the GOAT, now you’re considered the GOAT. The GOAT-slayer. So who knows?”
The WWE Hall of Famer believes his son will be next in line to become the next WWE Undisputed Championship. However, Solo Sikoa did suffer two losses to Cody Rhodes a few months ago. This raises a potential argument as to whether Sikoa should be the one to dethrone Rhodes for the title.
