Why Is Chelsea Green in Trouble With CM Punk?

WWE Superstar Chelsea Green reveals that she got in trouble with former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. This all began in June during WWE’s premium live event, Clash at the Castle, in Glasgow, Scotland.

Promoting the premium live event, Clash at the Castle, Chelsea Green gave an interview to Gorilla Position. During the interview, she was asked to give her immediate reactions to a list of names. When CM Punk’s name was mentioned, Green humorously expressed her fear of him, both inside and outside the ring. She said,”Kinda scary [laughs]. Kinda scary, he scares me. He scares me in and out of the ring. I’m just scared.”

After the interviewer mentioned that CM Punk was handsome, Chelsea Green jokingly stated that the tattooed wrestler was not her type. Instead, she praised her husband Matt Cardona, who went by the in-ring name Zack Ryder for his tanned and muscular physique. Although Green made the comments in jest, it appears her remarks got her into trouble with the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

How did Chelsea Green end up in trouble with CM Punk?

Recently, WWE Superstar Chelsea Green appeared on Gorilla Position and recalled how a previous interview led to trouble with CM Punk. She reminded the interviewer about a graphic of Punk with red eyes that was shown during their last conversation.

Green reminded the interviewer, “Last time I was with you, I got in trouble by one CM Punk. Didn’t you put a graphic of CM Punk with red eyes?” The interviewer responded, “Yeah, probably. Being evil? You called him evil? Green humorously explained that her comment about him being “scary” likely caused the issue.

When asked if she was backtracking on her previous statement, Green firmly replied, “No, I didn’t. I don’t take anything back.” While it appeared to be friendly banter, it is worth noting that Punk has also been a supporter of Matt Cardona during the early days of his WWE career.
