WWE RAW Superstar Xavier Woods, a member of The New Day, has finally addressed the speculations surrounding a potential heel turn. Recently, tensions have been rising between Woods and Kofi Kingston.
The trouble started when Kingston introduced Odyssey Jones to The New Day. Unfortunately, Jones’ storyline ended abruptly due to serious domestic abuse allegations, leading to WWE’s decision to release him from his contract. After this, the potential breakup storyline for The New Day continued with Karrion Kross, who began causing rifts between Woods and Kingston.
As a result, Woods and Kingston clashed on several occasions, including interference from LWO during their matches and Woods struggling to defeat Rey Mysterio in a fair fight. A few weeks ago, Woods faced Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship. Despite losing the match, Woods felt frustrated after the defeat, but Jey Uso helped him to his feet afterward. When he extended his hand in friendship, Woods ignored him and walked away.
This week on WWE RAW, The New Day advanced in the number one contender tournament for the tag team titles. R-Truth played a crucial role in helping them secure a win. However, after the match, The Final Testament and The Miz attacked R-Truth. In the chaos, Woods prevented Kingston from helping Truth. After this series of unusual behaviors from Woods, which hint at a possible heel turn, The New Day members have finally responded to the growing speculations.
