WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker gave his perspective on the possible match between Brock Lesnar and Gunther. Recently, The Undertaker has showered praises on the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, for his work.
Gunther made his debut on the main roster in 2022 following a successful run in WWE NXT. He swiftly gained popularity and acquired the Intercontinental Championship. Gunther also went on to hold the title for a record-breaking 666 days. He then captured the top prize by defeating Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. Since then he has defeated Randy Orton and Sami Zayn in defending his title.
Although Gunther currently stands at the top of his roster, the possibility of facing Brock Lesnar has always loomed over him. Gunther has expressed a desire to share the ring with The Beast Incarnate. Earlier this year, WWE had plans for both stars to face at WrestleMania 40, but those plans fell through due to Lesnar’s alleged involvement in Vince McMahon’s lawsuit.
While the much-anticipated match did not come to fruition this year, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has shared his thoughts on the possible dream match between Lesnar and Gunther.
The Undertaker says Gunther can reach new heights opposite Brock Lesnar
Speaking on the Six Feet Under Podcast, The Undertaker explored the potential match between Brock Lesnar and Gunther. He emphasized that working with Lesnar could elevate Gunther’s career to new heights.
He said, “Yep, it would propel GUNTHER to even another level to work a program with Brock. To the heights that I think Brock could bring him to would be — make him untouchable. Because he already has — he has his own style, he has his own pace, and everything else. But to work with somebody a beast like Brock would push him to levels that I’m not sure there’s anybody on the roster right now that does that.”
While Brock Lesnar has been kept off television, there is currently no update on when fans can expect to see The Beast Incarnate back in the WWE ring. He was last seen in August 2023 at SummerSlam, where he lost to Cody Rhodes.
