WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez isn’t done with former WWE Champion CM Punk after their recent encounter. Punk appeared on the latest NXT episode. After watching Giulia’s in-ring debut on October 10, he had an idea and pitched it to WWE NXT General Manager Ava, which led the latter to book Punk on the latest edition of NXT.
CM Punk showed up to make a special announcement but got interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. She expressed that her younger self would be thrilled to share the ring with him, adding that he was one of the main reasons she joined WWE.
Perez also noted that she had always preferred AJ Lee over CM Punk. She also talked about how she was thrilled about his return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames last year. However, despite praising Punk, the champion made an unexpected statement.
Perez mentioned that having stood face-to-face with Punk, she realized she should have been a fan of Punk’s nemesis, Drew McIntyre. The wrestler declared that at the NXT premiere on The CW Network, which is set to take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, the city would no longer be associated with him. She mockingly borrowed one of Punk’s signature lines, saying, “Tell me when I’m telling lies.”
After their confrontation on WWE NXT, Roxanne Perez has once again reminded CM Punk of who’s the best in the world, ahead of her match with Giulia at NXT’s premiere on The CW Network.
What did Roxanne Perez say?
Following her intense confrontation with CM Punk, WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez took another jab at him. She shared a photo from their encounter on Instagram with the caption, “October 1st, I’ll be the best in the world. Tell me when I’m telling lies.”
As Perez prepares to defend her title at WWE NXT on October 1 on The CW Network, Punk is scheduled to appear on the show as the special guest referee for Trick Williams and Ethan Page’s NXT title match.
