The latest WWE RAW showcased a major match between former Universal Champion Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed. The ongoing feud between the two has been a significant concern for RAW General Manager Adam Pearce.
During the August 26 edition of WWE RAW, Reed and Strowman clashed and their fight happened in the parking lot. The former ultimately gained the upper hand, executing a Tsunami Splash on Strowman, who lay injured on top of a car. Despite Reed’s dominance, the match ended without an official winner.
Following this, Bronson Reed was aiming for an Intercontinental Championship opportunity, but he was removed from the tournament due to contracting COVID. Strowman, who had previously been one of Reed’s targets, took his place and progressed to the number one contender match finals.
Last week during the finals, Bronson Reed interfered in that match, attacking Strowman and putting him through the announcers’ table costing him the match. As a result, WWE booked a match between the two on the latest RAW.
However, tensions flared as the stars clashed even before the match began. Reed escalated the conflict by throwing a fan at Strowman. The chaos continued backstage, where they broke barricades, a cart, and even a wall, eventually ending their chaotic battle. The disruption caused by both stars has now led to General Manager Adam Pearce fining them.
Adam Pearce issues fines to Bronson Reed & Braun Strowman
After the chaos between Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce announced the punishments for their actions. He revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that Reed had received “a massive undisclosed amount for plucking an adult human male from the Portland audience and firing him at Braun Strowman.” Additionally, both men faced “an equal undisclosed amount” for damaging the backstage area.
As both stars continue to clash, it will be interesting to see what further issues they might cause in the coming weeks on the red brand.
