Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Drew McIntyre recently discussed his ideal members for a new faction. He expressed his vision for a group in the style of the legendary Evolution faction. McIntyre is currently engaged in a heated rivalry with CM Punk.
Although many believed their feud concluded at the WWE Bash in Berlin, McIntyre wasn’t finished. Following his loss, he brutally attacked Punk, leaving him bloodied. This attack led WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce to announce a major match between the two.
On the latest edition of WWE RAW, Pearce revealed that McIntyre and Punk will face off inside Hell in a Cell at WWE’s upcoming premium live event, Bad Blood. Amid this intense rivalry, McIntyre also considered his ideal faction members, envisioning a faction inspired by the classic Evolution faction.
WWE Evolution was a prominent faction within the promotion during the early 2000s, designed to bridge the gap between the company’s Attitude Era and the new generation of Superstars. The faction consisted of four key members: leader Triple H, veteran wrestler and mentor Ric Flair, Batista, who was known for his physicality and power, and Randy Orton, the youngest member and a future star.
Drew McIntyre has now revealed which stars he believes would be ideal for a modern Evolution-style faction. He also shared who could be the leader, the veteran, the powerhouse, and the future.
Drew McIntyre reveals his ideal faction members in WWE
WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre is currently promoting his debut Hollywood film The Killer’s Game alongside Dave Bautista. He was recently asked on a Reddit AMA to select members for an Evolution-style faction.
In response, he highlighted himself as the leader, similar to Triple H. Additionally, McIntyre suggested the inclusion of rising stars and a veteran to complete the faction. He said, “Good question. Oba Femi and Bron Breakker, these two guys are studs, and I see big futures for them, if given the opportunity I would love to mentor them. Sheamus can do the Ric Flair role as he’s so old.”
Thus, McIntyre envisions himself as the leader, Sheamus as the veteran, Oba Femi as the powerhouse, and Bron Breakker as the rising star in his modern Evolution-style faction.
