Kevin Nash Explains Triple H’s Loyalty to a Current WWE Star

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has recently revealed that a prominent WWE star has earned the loyalty of Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer. Triple H took over this role after Vince McMahon’s departure from the promotion, which marked a significant turning point for WWE.

Vince McMahon retired abruptly in 2022 amid a scandal which was related to hush money payments. Although he briefly returned in 2023, McMahon stepped down again earlier this year due to a sexual misconduct lawsuit.

In the wake of McMahon’s exit, Triple H has made sweeping changes to WWE. He has been met with widespread acclaim from fans, backstage officials, and talent. Under Triple H’s leadership, WWE has experienced a noticeable transformation, with new stars emerging and existing stars receiving increased creative freedom.

The fans have observed a marked shift in WWE’s direction and presentation since Triple H took over. Among the rising WWE stars under his leadership, one has a special place in The Game’s eyes.

Recently, Kevin Nash, a close friend of Triple H, revealed why top WWE superstar Cody Rhodes has earned The Game’s loyalty. Nash’s comments shed light on the deep respect and admiration that Triple H holds for Rhodes.

Kevin Nash reveals why Triple H is loyal to Cody Rhodes

On the “Kliq This” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash discussed The Game’s immense loyalty towards Cody Rhodes. Nash explained that this commitment stems from Rhodes’ relentless work ethic. He stated, “I think that Paul’s affection and loyalty to Cody is because Cody is that grinder. If Cody was working [1-2-3] Kid on our card, Cody would work 312 days across Sean. Those would have been unbelievable to watch.”

Cody Rhodes, who departed WWE in 2016, made a name for himself on the independent circuit. His success there led to a meeting with Tony Khan and The Elite, resulting in the founding of All Elite Wrestling.

Back in 2019, Rhodes made headlines by smashing a throne with a sledgehammer at the inaugural AEW Double or Nothing show. Despite a mixed tenure in AEW, Rhodes left the promotion in 2022 and surprisingly returned to WWE. Since his comeback, he has remained in the major storylines. At WrestleMania 40, Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship by defeating Roman Reigns.

After the show, Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard gifted Cody Rhodes with a watch that had once belonged to his father, Dusty Rhodes. This is the same watch Dusty Rhodes had pawned to pay for Cody’s acting school.
