McIntyre mocked and played mind games with Punk with the bracelet. However, he managed to reclaim the accessory from McIntyre at the WWE Bash in Berlin after defeating him in a strap match.
After losing the bracelet, an enraged Drew McIntyre brutally attacked CM Punk and destroyed the fan-made bracelet. This incident has since intensified their rivalry, with WWE announcing a match between them at Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood.

Speaking in an interview on Comicbook.com, AJ Lee addressed her involvement in the ongoing CM Punk and Drew McIntyre storyline. She shared that she is somewhat out of the loop, as she prefers not to watch her husband’s matches live due to superstition.
She stated that she has “no idea” about the current situation, further stating, “I’m weird about like — I don’t want to watch my husband wrestle live because I’m scared. It’s like a weird juju thing. But also, it’s kind of like when you go home from work, do you open up your email? It’s kind of like that. It feels like that if people can understand.” Lee then revealed how she is “sort of on the periphery” and gets “looped in mostly for women’s stuff” because of her interests.
Furthermore, AJ Lee expressed that she is interested in women’s wrestling and stays informed through her husband, CM Punk. She is particularly fond of Bayley and Naomi, her current favorite WWE stars. “I kind of don’t know what’s happening in the storyline. I know that my dog is famous all of a sudden! He’s got some surprise merch coming. I’ve been privy to that. But it’s cool. I’m happy that he’s happy and healthy and just killing it. I’m proud,” she continued.
