Triple H & Bret Hart’s WWE RAW Interaction: What Went Down Backstage?

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart and Triple H shared a heartfelt moment backstage on the latest edition of WWE RAW. The show, held at the Saddledome in Hart’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, featured Bret Hart’s special appearance.

The crowd responded electrifyingly when Hart made his way to the ring. WWE commentators Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett invited him. After Tessitore announced Hart’s return, The Hitman was met with loud chants and cheers from the Canadian fans to their home hero.

During the show, Bret Hart had a memorable segment with reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The Ring General also mocked Hart by naming Goldberg as his favorite wrestler in the segment.

After the segment, Triple H posted a video on his Instagram showing himself greeting Hart backstage. He is seen expressing his gratitude for Hart’s appearance. Recent reports reveal that Triple H handled the interaction with Bret Hart with great professionalism despite their past conflicts dating back to the Attitude Era.

Triple H showed respect to Bret Hart despite their past tension

During the WWE Attitude Era of the 1990s, wrestlers were fiercely competing for their spots on the show. This often led to real emotional conflicts despite working within the same promotion. One notable rivalry from this period was between D-Generation X and the Hart Foundation. This intense feud also included the infamous Montreal Screwjob, for which The Hitman has frequently blamed former WWE CEO Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels.

Despite this historical conflict, the two stars showed mutual respect for each other on WWE RAW. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that, although Triple H and Bret Hart had a contentious history, Triple H demonstrated professionalism and respect towards Hart.

He stated, “Triple H was very nice to Bret from what I heard, a couple people brought that up to me, — Historically they don’t like each other, both of them. But it’s business and Triple H is running things and they don’t wanna insult Bret, so they have to show respect to Bret. So everybody was nice to everybody.”

The Game, the current Chief Content Officer of WWE, managed to set aside past emotions. He booked an impressive segment featuring Bret Hart on RAW.
