However, the moment was interrupted by reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who confronted Hart in the ring. Moreover, he showed disrespect and mocked the two-time Hall of Famer.
Sami Zayn then entered the ring, challenging Gunther to a World Heavyweight Championship match. The situation escalated into a brawl after Hart called Gunther a coward. It seems Gunther’s mocking of Hart isn’t over, as he has sent another message following WWE RAW.
Gunther mocked WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart again
The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, interrupted a special moment for Bret Hart on WWE RAW. He began by expressing his admiration for Hart, stating that he was about to pour his heart out to one of his childhood heroes. However, he then declared that Hart would always be a close second to his all-time favorite, Bill Goldberg.
The mention of Goldberg elicited a huge shocking reaction from the crowd, given the well-known history between Goldberg and Hart. Bret Hart has repeatedly stated that Goldberg ended his wrestling career with a kick that led to a severe injury, and Hart has not forgiven Goldberg for this incident.
Gunther’s comment about Goldberg being his favorite wrestler was a significant dig at Hart, who still harbors bitter feelings toward Goldberg. After WWE RAW, the Ring General continued to emphasize his point by sharing a video from the show in which he calls Goldberg his favorite wrestler.
It appears that The Ring General wants to remind Bret Hart of the moment after the show when the Hitman called him a coward for not fighting Sami Zayn for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
