Randy Orton Addresses on Potential Match with John Cena One Last Time

Former WWE World Champion Randy Orton recently addressed the possibility of a final match with John Cena. Over the years, Randy Orton and John Cena have been central figures in WWE. Their clashes became some of the most memorable moments in WWE history.

Their rivalry began in the mid-2000s and featured intense feuds and high-stakes matches. From their iconic encounters at numerous WWE premium live events to their fierce battles for the WWE Championship. Both Orton and Cena have consistently delivered thrilling performances. Their chemistry in the ring and the personal animosity portrayed in their storylines have made their rivalry a cornerstone of WWE programming in the PG era.

At Money in the Bank in Toronto this July, John Cena announced his plans to retire from WWE in 2025, following a retirement tour. Fans have been excited about seeing him face various stars, such as CM Punk, Seth Rollins, The Rock, and Roman Reigns.

Among these matchups, they are especially excited about a one-final showdown with their biggest rival, Randy Orton. Recently, Randy Orton also expressed his wish to face Cena one last time during his retirement tour.

Randy Orton expresses to face John Cena in his WWE retirement tour

The 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton recently joined Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About? During the appearance, Orton discussed the possibility of facing John Cena one last time during his upcoming retirement tour.

He stated, “I would love to work with the man and have a couple TVs or more to set it up and really make something special of it. Because no matter how much we faced each other back in the day, almost to the point where people were sick of it when people look back and think about it, they’re like, ‘Oh, Orton-Cena, wow. It was this amazing rivalry.’

“To have that callback, that nostalgia concept, and to do it for the fans who I feel like they’d appreciate it, and we go out there and have some fun and tear the place down. I would love to do that, but I guess, according to John, we’re just gonna let it, you know, if it organically happens, it’ll happen, but I think it’ll happen. I think it’s in the cards,” he added.

John Cena and Randy Orton’s rivalry is one of the biggest in WWE history. Many fans are calling for them to face off at WrestleMania, a stage where they have never had a singles match. It will be interesting to see if WWE plans to book this match for next year’s WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
