Finn Balor Explains Why He Attacked Damian Priest

At WWE SummerSlam this past weekend, Finn Balor, the leader of The Judgment Day, delivered a shocking betrayal of Damian Priest. Priest was in the midst of defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther when Balor made his unexpected presence felt at the ringside.

During the high-stakes match, Balor interfered by assisting Gunther, which left Priest stunned and distracted. This unexpected support for Gunther allowed the challenger to take advantage of the situation and secure the victory, making Gunther the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Damian Priest, who has been with The Judgment Day since its inception, found himself on the receiving end of Balor’s betrayal. The two had previously been a tag team championship duo and had experienced a few heated arguments over the past year. The history of tension ultimately culminated in Balor’s shocking act of betrayal at SummerSlam.

Finn Balor says he waited over a year for revenge

In the latest edition of WWE Raw, Finn Balor explained his reason for the betrayal at SummerSlam. Balor displayed a picture from his match against Seth Rollins at last year’s SummerSlam. He lost that match due to Damian Priest’s interference, which distracted Balor and led to his defeat.

Although the duo later reconciled with Rhea Ripley’s involvement, it appears that Finn Balor wasn’t ready to forgive Priest even after a year. Balor recently took to Instagram to remind Priest once again of the reasons for his betrayal.

Following WWE SummerSlam, both Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were kicked out from The Judgment Day. Despite their removal, the duo has not let go of the betrayal. In the latest edition of WWE Raw, Priest and Ripley formed an alliance and attacked the new members of The Judgment Day. Both Priest and Ripley have stated that they will be coming for this faction again.
