WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has ignited speculation about a potential appearance at WrestleMania 41. Austin, who last wrestled at WrestleMania 38 in a match against Kevin Owens, came out of retirement for that bout.
Since his 2022 return, fans have eagerly anticipated seeing The Texas Rattlesnake back in WWE. Earlier this year, WWE hinted at Stone Cold’s involvement in WrestleMania 40. The promotion teased that both John Cena and Stone Cold might feature in the main event match of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. While Cena appeared, Stone Cold did not, as reports later revealed that WWE and Austin could not reach a financial agreement for his appearance.
WWE has already revealed that the upcoming edition of WrestleMania 41 will take place in Las Vegas. Scheduled for April 19 and April 20, 2025, the show will be held at Allegiant Stadium. Fans are already buzzing with anticipation, expecting numerous high-profile matches.
It looks like WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is also hinting at a possible appearance at the Las Vegas event next year.
Stone Cold’s latest remarks on WWE WrestleMania 41
WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently spoke with The Athletic about his performance at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens. He expressed frustration that Owens didn’t face the “true Stone Cold” he was in his prime.
He stated, “(Owens) got in the ring with the name Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he didn’t get in with the true Stone Cold who was a (expletive) machine. When the ball rang, I was an (expletive). And he didn’t get that guy. That’s what I was mad about. I wanted him to know what it was like to be in there with the (expletive) when he’s on. You try to be the guy you were, you try to be in that alpha state. Although your mindset is there, physically you are not.”
Furthermore, Austin also hinted at a possible appearance at WrestleMania 41. He stated, “I said I won’t leave Nevada. It’s hard to get me out of this state. But… Wrestlemania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada.”
Steve Austin’s tease about WrestleMania 41 has excited fans, and it will be intriguing to see if this leads to a potential appearance or confrontation with his old rival, The Rock, who has also returned to WWE.
