Rhea Ripley’s WWE Return: A Major Update

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley made her shocking return on the latest edition of Raw. Ripley had been out of action since April after being attacked by Liv Morgan.

Last year, Liv Morgan was attacked by Rhea Ripley, which led to her hiatus of almost six months. Morgan made her return earlier this year in the women’s Royal Rumble. Since her return, she has had one goal in mind: to exact revenge on Ripley for her actions. She even dubbed it the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour.

Back in April, Liv Morgan attacked Rhea Ripley backstage, which resulted in Ripley getting injured and subsequently relinquishing her title, which eventually fell into Morgan’s hands. Not only did Morgan win the title, but she also started garnering the attention of Dominik Mysterio.

For the past few months, tensions have been high between Mysterio and Morgan, as she’s made many attempts to win his affection. These advances have caused significant problems for Mysterio, caught in the crossfire of Morgan’s revenge plot. Following her recent actions, Morgan has undergone a dramatic character shift, turning heel. With Ripley’s return to Raw, it seems WWE has big plans for her moving forward.

WWE’s major character shift for Rhea Ripley

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley confronted Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan on Raw. Her return signals that Ripley will now play a babyface role. According to the latest reports from PWInsider, WWE has internally categorized Rhea Ripley as a babyface. However, the rest of The Judgment Day, consisting of Damian Priest, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio, remains listed as heels.

While Ripley’s return received a huge ovation from the fans in the arena, it will be interesting to see what plans WWE has for babyface Rhea Ripley, who has been a very effective heel for the past few years.
