What’s Next for The Miz and R-Truth After Recent Setback?

The team of The Miz and R-Truth, known as Awesome Truth, suffered a major setback on RAW. However, the former tag team champions have set their sights on WWE SummerSlam. On WWE RAW, Liv Morgan manipulated R-Truth into booking a title match against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

The match was featured in the show’s main event, and Liv Morgan also made her presence felt. Just as The Awesome Truth seemed on the verge of retaining their titles, Morgan interfered and attacked R-Truth. This allowed Finn Balor to capitalize on the chaos and secure the victory for The Judgment Day, winning the tag team championships.

In an exclusive backstage interview following RAW, The Awesome Truth expressed frustration after their shocking championship loss. The Miz, visibly upset, directed his displeasure towards R-Truth. He reminded Truth that their goal was to retain the titles and walk in at SummerSlam as champions, especially since the show takes place in Miz’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

However, with the team losing the tag team championship, the chances of them appearing on the show as champions are very low. He reminds The Miz that just as The Miz helped him win the title at WrestleMania 40. He’s now dedicated to helping The Miz to win a championship in his hometown.

R-Truth apologizes to The Miz following WWE RAW

Following their shocking tag team championship defeat on RAW, fan footage captures R-Truth taking responsibility for the loss. As the show officially ended, R-Truth grabbed a microphone and addressed the live crowd. He acknowledged the defeat and apologized to The Miz for falling for Liv Morgan’s trap.

With The Awesome Truth setting their sights on WWE SummerSlam, as they mentioned in an exclusive interview, it will be interesting to see if the WWE RAW general manager considers granting them a rematch at SummerSlam.
