CM Punk Reunites With Former Straight Edge Society Member

CM Punk was recently spotted with former member of the Straight Edge Society ahead of WWE SmackDown. Last weekend, he made headlines at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland with an unannounced appearance. His involvement in the main event had significant ramifications, as he cost Drew McIntyre his match against Damian Priest for the world title.

The wrestler has repeatedly cost Drew McIntyre the WWE World Title over the past several months. His actions prompted McIntyre to walk out of WWE on the latest edition of RAW, despite attempts by Adam Pearce and Triple H to persuade him to stay. However, he had already made up his mind.

With Drew now gone from WWE, Punk announced during the post-show press conference of Clash at the Castle: Scotland that he will appear on the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown. Adding another layer of intrigue to the situation, Punk was recently spotted with his former Straight Edge Society teammate Luke Gallows and Gallows’ current tag partner, Karl Anderson.

Fans may recall Punk and Gallows’ shared past as part of the Straight Edge Society alongside Joey Mercury and Serena Deeb. The faction wreaked havoc on SmackDown back in 2009 to 2010. However, fans of the faction were excited to see the former members reuniting. Punk shared a picture with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on Instagram stories.

CM Punk is set to make a huge announcement

CM Punk’s appearance at the Clash at the Castle post-show press conference added another layer of intrigue. He announced he would be on the upcoming episode of SmackDown to address his in-ring return. Punk has been sidelined since January after suffering a triceps tear during the Royal Rumble. The injury occurred while receiving Drew McIntyre’s “Future Shock DDT” maneuver.

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown is set to take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if he will finally receive clearance for his in-ring return. Interestingly, recent reports suggest that Punk has not yet been cleared. He is officially scheduled to return by the end of July and be ready for SummerSlam 2024 in August. Stay tuned for more updates!
