Damage CTRL Faction Member Dakota Kai Teases Split Amid Asuka’s Hiatus

WWE Superstar Dakota Kai teases breaking up Damage CTRL amidst former Women’s Champion Asuka’s hiatus. This week on WWE Raw, Damage CTRL went through ups and downs as all members of the faction were in action.

Why did Dakota Kai tease splitting up Damage CTRL?

Recently, the leader of Damage CTRL, Iyo Sky, faced Kiana James and Zelina Vega in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Sky was able to overcome her opponents, securing her place in the Money in the Bank ladder match. The remaining members, Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane, were in tag team action on the show.

Kai and Sane faced Katana Chance and Kayden Carter; however, the match ended quickly when Chance and Carter hit The After Party on Kairi Sane. Following the match, leader Iyo Sky wasn’t impressed and teased changes within Damage CTRL in a backstage segment.

It seems Dakota Kai, who has been with the faction since her debut, might also be ready to move on. Kai took to Instagram, following WWE Raw, and shared a picture of herself with the caption “Breaking Point.” With the tension in Damage CTRL clearly visible, is this the end of one of the most dominant women’s factions, especially amid the hiatus of their other member, Asuka, who’s out with a knee injury? Only time will tell.

Damage CTRL leader Iyo Sky not pleased with the recent performance

Former WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky has been clearly seen as not happy with Damage CTRL. The faction has been experiencing a downfall since WrestleMania 40, where Sky lost her title to Bayley. Bayley, a former member of the faction, was kicked out by the remaining members. While the faction still has the Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane, The Kabuki Warriors, consisting of Asuka and Kairi Sane, lost their titles at WWE Backlash in France against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

Following Damage CTRL’s complete loss of titles, leader Iyo Sky is visibly displeased with the faction. Asuka suffered a knee injury, keeping her out of action for a long time, and Dakota Kai took her place. However, with their recent loss on WWE Raw, Sky is already unhappy with the faction. Thus, she once again mentioned to Kai and Sane that Damage CTRL has to change, or she’ll change things herself. It will be interesting to see what drama unfolds within the faction.
