Major Update on CM Punk WWE Return Date 2024

A major update has emerged regarding the in-ring status of former WWE Champion CM Punk. Punk suffered a triceps injury back in January at the Royal Rumble. While receiving a “Future Shock DDT” from Drew McIntyre, Punk apparently tore his triceps. This injury sidelined him from WWE WrestleMania 40.

Despite being injured, CM Punk has been making regular appearances on WWE programming. He recently made an appearance this past weekend in Scotland at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. During the show, Punk cost Drew McIntyre his world title match against Damian Priest.

CM Punk also attended the Clash at the Castle: Scotland post-show press conference. There, he revealed he would be appearing on the upcoming edition of SmackDown and would announce the status of his in-ring return.

However, despite Punk’s announcement, an update suggests he won’t be cleared for action by WWE’s next premium live event, Money in the Bank. According to WrestleVotes’ sources, CM Punk is officially scheduled to return by the end of July. However, he won’t be cleared for action at Money in the Bank, scheduled for July 7 in Toronto, Canada.

CM Punk’s return date: Is he back with SummerSlam 2024?

CM Punk is scheduled for the upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago, where he’ll address his in-ring return status. However, he won’t be competing at Money in the Bank on July 7. WrestleVotes reports that he’s expected to be cleared for action by WWE SummerSlam on August 3 in Cleveland.

CM Punk’s already embroiled in a heated rivalry with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. After costing McIntyre a world title opportunity at Clash at the Castle, Punk seemingly pushed McIntyre out of WWE. However, many fans speculate this is just a storyline development, and Punk and McIntyre are ultimately headed for a major clash at SummerSlam in Cleveland.
