WWE Superstar Natalya Teases ‘Change’ Amid Expiring Contract

Former WWE Women’s Champion Natalya teased a major change following her loss on the latest edition of RAW. Natalya, who’s been a veteran in the business, has made appearances on NXT recently. However, her appearances are not quite turning out as she envisioned.

Natalya’s recent run in NXT has raised questions about her future. She’s been focused on helping develop the next generation of WWE superstars, but her own in-ring success has been limited. A few weeks ago, she lost to Lola Vice at NXT Underground. Additionally, her tag team partnership also wasn’t successful.

On the latest edition of WWE RAW, Natalya faced off one-on-one against Kiana James. James, who was drafted to the red brand during Night One of the WWE Draft on the April 26, 2024, episode of SmackDown, made her debut and secured a huge win against the WWE veteran.

Later on in the show, Natalya ran backstage into Sonya Deville. Deville asked Natalya if she wanted to talk; however, the veteran teased a major change by stating, “Enough is enough; it’s time for a change.” Fans might know this catchphrase from the late WWE wrestler Owen Hart, a family member of Natalya.

Amid her teasing of major changes, reports emerged last week that Natalya’s contract with WWE is set to expire soon. WWE had offered her a new deal, but she hadn’t signed it yet. It will be interesting to see what’s next for her as she used Owen Hart’s catchphrase, and with AEW hosting the Owen Hart Cup, her appearance in Tony Khan‘s promotion arises. Only time will tell if she is going to make a jump.

Is Natalya leaving WWE for AEW? Experts weigh in

With former Women’s Champion Natalya’s WWE contract nearing its expiration and her recent use of Owen Hart’s catchphrase on Raw, speculation is swirling about a potential jump to AEW. On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Natalya’s line might not have been scripted, hinting at a possible future outside of WWE.

Meltzer also mentioned the possibility of Natalya participating in the upcoming Owen Hart Cup tournament at AEW. As a veteran wrestler yet to re-sign with WWE, her next move remains a mystery.
