Saraya’s Message to Mercedes Mone After AEW Double or Nothing Victory

Former WWE Superstar Saraya, formerly known as Paige, has sent out a challenge to Mercedes Mone following AEW Double or Nothing. AEW Double or Nothing saw the debut match of Mercedes Mone, who made her return to in-ring action after a year. She faced Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship.

Mercedes Mone made her mark in her debut match in AEW by winning the TBS Championship. Now that Mone has the championship, she already has a target on her back from former WWE Superstar and current AEW star Saraya.

In a recent interview, Mercedes Mone was asked about potentially facing Saraya in AEW. Mone said she was ready to face Saraya in a match but wouldn’t lose her title.

This prompted a response from former AEW Women’s Champion to Mercedes Mone’s statement. She took to Twitter, stating she has waited six years to take more than just her championship, referencing their unfortunate injury incident in WWE.

Saraya and Mone share a significant history from their WWE days. Fans are eager to see if Tony Khan has plans for these stars in AEW.

The history of AEW stars Saraya and Mercedes Mone in WWE

Mercedes Mone and Saraya, now in AEW, have a long history in WWE, dating back to 2015. Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, made her main roster debut alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in front of Saraya.

Mone and Saraya spent many years wrestling in WWE. In 2017, during a WWE live event, Mone delivered a backkick to Paige in a tag team match. This caused Paige to collapse and suffer a neck injury that led to her retirement.

Years later, Saraya joined AEW in 2022, received medical clearance, and competed in her first match in nearly five years. Now, with Mone also in All Elite Wrestling, fans eagerly anticipate when these two stars will face off again.
