An update has emerged ahead of AEW Double or Nothing regarding the former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who returned to AEW programming on the 1st May episode of Dynamite. However, his return didn’t go well, and the Elite decided to attack Omega. He was carried out on a stretcher following the brutal attack.
As AEW Double or Nothing approaches this weekend in Las Vegas, fans speculate about Kenny Omega’s potential non-wrestling appearance on the show. However, the latest reports may disappoint fans of the former AEW World Champion.
According to Fightful Select behind a paywall, AEW currently has no plans for Kenny Omega and expects him to remain on the sidelines for an extended period. Omega underwent surgery on May 16 in New York as part of the ongoing treatment for his Diverticulitis.
Furthermore, the reports state that Kenny Omega will remain absent for a significant period. There are currently no creative plans for his return. Omega was written off television after being attacked by the Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada.
In December 2023, Kenny Omega was scheduled for a tag team match with Chris Jericho as his partner. However, the match was scrapped when Omega announced that he had diverticulitis and had to be hospitalized.
Kenny Omega set a huge match for AEW Double or Nothing

Furthermore, he revealed that their opponents would be Team AEW, consisting of FTR, Darby Allin, and Bryan Danielson. Danielson replaced Eddie Kingston, who was initially announced for the match but suffered an injury, leading to Danielson taking his spot in the match.
