Rising WWE Star Promises to End The Rock’s Career

The Rock, who made his WWE comeback earlier this year, has received a significant message from the rising WWE superstar Austin Theory. Theory, known for defeating John Cena at WWE WrestleMania 39, is now targeting The Rock. The Great One returned to wrestling after a decade and competed in his first match at WWE WrestleMania 40, where Austin Theory also won his first-ever tag team championship with Grayson Waller.

During an interview with The Babyfaces Podcast, Austin Theory directed a comment toward The Rock. He expressed his disregard for The Rock being referred to as “The Final Boss.” Theory mentioned that The Rock is not his boss and that he would put him in his place if necessary.

He stated, “I love him being called The Final Boss because that’s it. He’s at the finale. We’re gonna end it and we’re gonna step on top of him. And me and Grayson Waller, man, we don’t care, you know. And Grayson said in the past: ‘Hey, watch what you say, you know, he’s our boss.’ He ain’t my boss, all right. He ain’t my boss. I’ll put him in his place, all right. Yeah, he had to take a cheap shot, you know, hit the People’s Elbow, get his little pop, get his little reaction, and then now he’s, you know, main eventing a WrestleMania because of Austin Theory.”

It’s important to note that The Rock teamed up with Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40 in a tag team match. Considering that Austin Theory currently holds the tag team championship with Grayson Waller, it will be interesting to see if Theory’s call-out prompts The Rock to return to action for a tag team match.

Flashback: The Rock’s intense WWE confrontation with Austin Theory

Austin Theory, who recently chose not to refer to The Rock as his “Final Boss,” seems to still harbor animosity towards him. Last year, in September, during an episode of WWE SmackDown, Austin Theory interrupted Pat McAfee, which resulted in The Rock interrupting Theory.

This led to a heated confrontation where Theory even used The Rock’s famous line “It doesn’t matter what you think” against him. The situation escalated further, culminating in a physical altercation where The Rock delivered his signature spinebuster and People’s Elbow to Austin Theory.
